Pete is an experienced senior executive with international and FTSE experience within the Leisure Travel sector for over 25 years. He spent more than 20 years at Thomas Cook, including serving as CEO of its UK Mainstream Business and as a member of the Group’s Executive Board. Since 2013 Pete has used his vast experience in driving businesses and change programmes in challenging climates in organisations in the Commercial world as well as the Not For Profit sector both in the UK and Overseas.

Erica’s commitment to the travel and tourism industry spans nearly 30 years. She has worked at all levels having held management positions with Thomas Cook for the past 20 years. Erica was responsible for the Customer Relations and Customer Legal Departments, leading both areas through times of major change. More recently, Erica worked in conjunction with the Overseas Director and UK Board in the implementation of complaint reduction programs and ensuring a consistent approach to complaint and claim management across the organisation. Compensation recoveries were also part of Erica’s remit, however the shift in the UK claim and compensation culture has resulted in Erica wishing to utilise her wealth of experience in supporting hotels in reducing the pressure and cost of claim management.

Angela has worked in the travel industry for over 16 years. Her knowledge of tour operating, particularly in claims management, recoveries and the overseas sector, has resulted in exceptional financial savings in addition to driving forward major efficiencies. Angela was fundamental in increasing complaint resolution overseas whilst working for Thomas Cook, through working closely with the Overseas Director and senior overseas team, delivering training and driving continuous improvement. Angela is now using her expertise to support hotels in claim management and reduction.

Colette Jowett

Colette Jowett

Head of Claims

Colette has 22 years experience within the travel and tourism industry, the past 20 years having been spent with Thomas Cook. Colette has a wealth of knowledge in claim handling, supporting Thomas Cook’s CEO, Directors and Press Office, with high level customer claims. Colette also managed the Thomas Cook Welfare Team with responsibility for providing a duty of care to customers following major incidents, accidents and fatalities.

Gemma Jowett

Gemma worked for Thomas Cook for almost ten years, the first part of her career dealing with customer complaints and claims. Gemma is an expert in customer recovery, whilst balancing the cost to the business. More recently, Gemma joined Erica’s team with responsibilities for supporting the overseas teams in complaint and claim management and negotiating financial recoveries.
